As good or better than the original
I ordered this to replace a 15-year-old manifold on a 2009 Summit 650. While the valves continued to work well enough, three of the six "ignitor arms" had corroded to the point that the ignitors were either hanging loose or misaligned. Considering you get a complete set of new knobs along with the manifold, replacing the whole manifold is the less problematic approach to manifold repair. It is one way to be sure you'll end up with "just-like-new" starting and fire control. If you have staged the repair by unbolting the control panel and cleaning the area it takes about 30-40 minutes to uninstall and reinstall the maniford. If you are starting with a dirty grill carve out two hours before you need to use the grill. I had forgotten how reliable starting the Summit was when it was new. Once again, every single burner starts the first time I twist the knob. I swear the valves on the replacement manifold have a wider range of control; the new valves rotate close to 180°, and I believe the original valves rotated 90.°
