A grill's hood thermometer is constantly exposed to high temperatures, smoke, grease, moisture, and weather. Over time, the original gauge may become difficult to read, physically damaged, discolored, fogged, or inaccurate.

The Napoleon N685-0004C replaces the original hood-mounted temperature gauge so the cook can once again monitor approximate cooking chamber temperature without opening the lid.

PRO 825 Application

The PRO825 uses two N685-0004C temperature gauges, one for each cooking chamber/lid. Napoleon's factory diagram shows N685-0004C as item #215 in the small-lid assembly as well as the corresponding gauge in the large-lid assembly. 

Installation / Use Instructions

1. Turn off the grill and allow the lid to cool completely.

2. Access the rear of the existing temperature gauge from inside the lid and remove its retaining hardware.

3. Remove the old gauge, insert the N685-0004C through the original opening, and secure it in the factory position.

Avoid overtightening the mounting hardware, which could damage the gauge or lid components.
