Description

What Problem This Part Solves

Traditional wire grill brushes can shed bristles that may remain on cooking surfaces. TEC designed its Grate Rake as a bristle-free cleaning solution specifically shaped around its infrared grill cooking system.

After a TEC grill is run on high, food residue and drippings can be reduced to ash. The rake side removes remaining debris from the cooking grates, while the shovel end can scoop ash from the radiant glass panels underneath. TEC also recommends using the flat end to help remove grease from the drip tray.

Key Features

  • Genuine TEC grill accessory
  • TEC model/part number PFRRAKE
  • Heavy-duty 304 stainless steel construction
  • Bristle-free alternative to traditional wire grill brushes

  • Rake teeth are designed to avoid contacting the radiant glass below
  • Flat shovel end removes ash and debris from radiant glass panels

Installation / Use Instructions

  1. Following TEC's cleaning procedure, operate the grill on high with the hood closed for approximately 10–15 minutes to help incinerate food residue, then turn off the burners.
  2. Use the rake end of the PFRRAKE to scrape residue from the cooking grates, then allow the grill to cool completely.
  3. Once cool, carefully remove the grates and use the shovel end to remove ash and remaining debris from the radiant glass panels.

Do not remove the radiant glass panels simply for routine cleaning; TEC specifically advises leaving the glass installed.

FAQ Section

Does this fit my grill?
The TEC PFRRAKE is designed for compatible TEC infrared grills, including Patio FR, Sterling Patio FR, G-Sport FR, Searmaster FR, and Cherokee FR models. Confirm your specific TEC model before ordering.

What is this part made of?
The TEC PFRRAKE is constructed from heavy-duty 304 stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to corrosion and wear.

How long should this part last?
The heavy-duty stainless steel construction is designed for repeated grill cleaning. Unlike a conventional wire brush, there are no bristles that gradually wear down or potentially detach during cleaning.

How do I use it?
Use the toothed rake side to scrape between and across the cooking grates. After the grill has cooled, remove the grates and use the flat shovel side to scoop ash and debris from the radiant glass panels. The flat end can also help clean accumulated grease from the drip tray.

Why choose this cleaning tool over others?
The PFRRAKE was designed specifically around TEC's cooking grate and radiant-glass system. Its teeth clean the grate channels while remaining short enough to avoid the glass underneath, and its bristle-free construction eliminates the risk of loose wire-brush bristles remaining on the cooking surface.
