Meat Hook - Raichlen Signature 92352 SR8007
Steven Raichlen Signature Meat Hook 92352 SR8007
What's a Steven Raichlen Signature Meat Hook?
A meat hook makes for much faster turning of foods instead of sliding a turner (spatula) under it or using a fork or grabbing the food with a tong.
You use a meat hook by poking the pointy end of the device in the meat and give it a flip on the grill while you stand a safe distance away. It's especially useful for a lot of steaks, chops, ribs, etc.
The Steven Raichlen meat hook is stainless steel with a wooden handle with Steve Raichlen's signature. It has a stainless loop on the end to hang it up. The wooden handle is 6.75 inches long, and the shaft+hook another 12.5 inches for a total of 19.25 inches. The photo doesn't show that the hook is almost perpendicular to the shaft with the point of the hook a little more than 2 inches from the shaft.
The meat hook should work for anything large and dense enough that won't fall apart by poking it with a sharp pointed object. (Hamburgers will likely fall apart, shrimp are too small.)
92352 is Companion Group's Steven Raichlen line SR8007.
